Kankroli, Rajasmand: The city of Kankroli is strategically located in the south of Rajasthan and is 65 km away from Udaipur. Kankroli is situated in 25° 4' 0" North Latitude and 73° 53' 0" East Longitude and at an average altitude of 547 meters. Kankroli is the administrative head quarters of Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. The city of Kankroli surrounded with Aravali Range and Pali district on the north side, Bhilwara and chittorgarh districts on the east side, and Udaipur is located on the south side.

The city and district of Rajsamand are named after Rajsamand Lake. This artificial lake was built by Maharana Raja Singh-I during 17th century. Rajsamand district was constituted on April 10th, 1991.

Most commonly used languages in Kankroli are Hindi, English and Rajasthani. The city of Kankroli belonged to Udaipur district later on in 1991 it was separated as a district head. Kankroli is also known as Haveli of Dwarakadish Prabhu. Dwarakadish Temple is one of the important temples among Vaishnava temples of India.

Rajanagar and Kankroli are the twin cities. The city of Kankroli is also famous for The Radial Tyre Revolution in India. The first Radial Tyre was rolled out of JK Tyre factory during 1980’s. And Kankroli has also a great research institute Harishankar Singhania Tyre and Elastomer Research Institute (HASETRI). Janmashtami (Lord Krishna’s Birthday), Annakutta, and Jhaljhoolni Gyaras are the famous festivals here. Devotees get to Kankroli and take a religious bath in the Lake during the month of September.
