Conspiracy to finish me, topple govt: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Sunday said various forces are conspiring to topple his government because of his resolve for corruption-free governance.
Making a frontal attack on the opposition political parties at a farmers rally here, just two days ahead of the budget session from February 23, Modi said, "subah sham mere khilaf tufaon chalta hai (there is round-the-clock storm against me). Certain people can't digest the fact that a tea vendor has become the PM."
Without naming anyone, the PM said they had come together because of his move to check corruption. "Ye log sadayantra kartain hai ki Modi ko kaise khatm kiya jaye. (They are conspiring to finish Modi),"

The PM said his government's initiatives of neem coating on urea to check its pilferage from the farm sector and seeking details of funds received by NGOs had rattled many.
The neem coating in urea had ensured that not even five gram can be diverted for other use. This move has worked is clear from the fact that no state had complained against its shortage in the year 2015 compared to several complaint letters from chief ministers in 2014, the PM said, adding the same has upset those involved in its diversion and black-marketing.
Talking about NGOs, Modi said, ""Kuchh NGO ko hisab maanga. Saare ekatha ho gaye. (The government asked fund details to some NGOs, all of them got together)
The PM described him as Pradhan Sevak (chief servant) and said he knows what pinches his detractors and asserted he will not bow down or get tired of doing his job. "Aap ne jo kaam diya hai, usse mein rukne wala nehin, thak ne wala nehin (I will never stop or get tired of doing the task that you have assigned me," Modi told the rally. It was his second rally in a series of four after the first in Madhya Pradesh on February 18.
Trying to dispel the notion that his government is pro-industry, Modi said his Start up India, Stand Up India campaign will actually benefit farmers and villagers. Farmers can use paddy husk to produce rice bran oil. The government is keen to provide them skills and funds from Mudra yojna, Modi said.
Asserting that his is the most pro-farmer government in India after independence, Modi said farmers need to diversify into apiculture and fisheries. The PM asked everybody, the Centre, the state governments and the people, to resolve to double farmers' income by 2022 when India celebrated its 75th year of independence.
Visiting Odisha for a second time, after he inaugurated the Paradip oil refinery of Indian Oil Corporation Limited two weeks ago on February 7, Modi said he has developed special attachment with the people of Odisha. Modi said apart from Odisha, other eastern states such as Bihar and Assam have to lead the second green revolution in the country.
