Benazir Bhutto's niece and poet, writer Fatima Bhutto crossed the Wagah check post and traveled from Lahore, Pakistan to Amritsar, India to see how different the two countries are only to find it exactly the same- same topography, same wheat fields, only divided by a border. The video made by Condé Nast Traveller India incredibly highlights how in spite of being similar both countries have such hostility towards each other. Bhutto points out that how the guard changing ceremony that takes place at the Wagah check post may scream of patriotism for both countries but its actually full of aggression. "On Eid the Pakistani guards takes sweet for Indian guards and they give sweets for Diwali as well. Maybe they are even friends but you wouldn't know from the ceremony," points out Bhutto. Bhutto also urges that there is an urgent need to have a dialogue with each other to bring peace.
